On the way back from buying some fresh fish at some kampung fish jetty near my hometown of batu pahat, I saw a beautiful patch of Lotus plants flowering! They were growing wild in the big longkang (malay for drain) just outside someone's house. Was tempted to take some seeds from the plant back home to grow but did not have the appropriate attire to go mucking around in the dirty longkang, it was dangerous and exciting enough just to try and take pictures without falling in...
